This is a lecture and discussion on how the anti-vaccination
movement
is spreading bad science and endangering the public health. I will
examine the place of well meaning parents, ineffective doctors, a
controversy-obsessed media and other factors that make vaccination ripe
for hysteria. This will be a joint meeting with the Rational Society of
St. Louis (RSSL).

This is not an official SSSL event but is being put on by the St. Louis
Scienbce Center and PBS NOVA.

Our main entrance is
on Oakland Avenue, a
half block west of Kingshighway Blvd. From Highway 40/I-64, take
exit
36A and either make a right (coming from the West) or a left (coming
from the East) going south on Kingshighway Blvd. Make an
immediate
right turn onto Oakland. After .3 miles, turn left into our main
drive.
From I-44 going West or East, exit
onto Hampton Ave. (exit 286
north). Drive north on Hampton Ave. for almost a mile, then turn right
on Oakland. Turn right into our main drive.
